Building your own website and blog from scratch is an incredibly rewarding experience.
Why Build It Yourself?
There are plenty of blogging platforms out there — WeChat Official Accounts, Juejin, Zhihu, Notion... But I chose to build my own. The reason is simple: I love having full control.
- Completely independent domain name
- Fully customizable styles and behavior
- No platform restrictions, no annoying ads
- A great excuse to practice frontend and Cloudflare Workers
Tech Stack

- Cloudflare Pages — Static site hosting, free, fast, global CDN
- Cloudflare Pages Functions — Dynamic routing and server-side rendering
- Markdown — Excellent writing experience
- Pure JavaScript — No framework dependencies, lightweight to the core
